Rob is just one day away from finishing up filming in Toronto for ‘Cosmopolis’ — do you think he had any idea of the rich history behind one of his filming locations?
Robert Pattinson might have gotten a history lesson without even knowing it! The 25-year-old actor has been filming Cosmopolis nonstop while in Toronto, but Rob — a self-proclaimed history buff — probably loved shooting at Toronto’s famous Union Station!

Union Station is the largest railway station in Canada, and it’s the third version of the original station opened by Edward, the Prince of Wales in 1927. How fitting since Rob’s from across the pond!

Not only has he had several overnight shoots, but he went an entire month without seeing his girlfriend Kristen Stewart. We’ve seen Rob shoot different scenes at Union Station, but it’s unclear as to what scenes in particular they were.

The gorgeous and famous structure features a great hall similar to that found at NYC’s Grand Central Station. The ticket lobby known as the “Great Hall” has four story tall windows — that’s huge!

Filming in Toronto is expected to wrap on July 15 and then it’s possible more shooting may continue in New York until it finally wraps on July 19.
