Kim, who has been closely following Casey’s case the past few weeks, receives a huge amount of backlash after Casey is found not guilty as a result of her father’s defense of OJ Simpson. Is this fair?
Kim Kardashian has been an ardent follower of the Caylee Anthony murder case over the past month, but was met with some harsh words after expressing her disbelief that Casey Anthony was found not guilty for Caylee’s death. It seems that many people on Twitter view the fact that Kim’s lawyer father Robert Kardashian secured OJ Simpson a not guilty verdict for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson just as shocking as Casey’s not guilty decision.
“WHAT!!!!???!!!! CASEY ANTHONY FOUND NOT GUILTY!!!! I am speechless!!!” Kim tweeted following the verdict July 5. It seems however that many had a negative reaction to Kim’s tweet and began attacking the reality star.
“Reading the comments here &its nuts people think just bc I was close to the OJ trial I can’t have my own opinion on the Casey Anthony case?,” Kim wrote just an hour later.
Kim’s father Robert was a crucial part of OJ’s legal team, a case many are now comparing to the shocking verdict in Caylee’s death. Much like Casey, most assumed OJ was and would be declared guilty for wife Nicole’s death. Ironically, there were recent reports that OJ was going to admit to the murder of Nicole in a new interview.
